Terms & Conditions, Security and Privacy Policy — Port Melville, Tiwi Islands, NT

1. Bookings & Reservations

1.1 All reservations are subject to room availability and confirmation by the Motel.

1.2 A valid credit card or approved alternative payment is required to secure your booking.

1.3 Rates are quoted in Australian Dollars (AUD) and exclude GST unless otherwise stated.

2. Check-In & Check-Out

2.1 Standard check-in time is 2:00 pm.

2.2 Standard check-out time is 10:00 am.

2.3 Early check-in or late check-out may be arranged in advance, subject to availability, and may incur an additional charge.

2.4 Guests must present valid photo identification upon check-in (driver’s licence, passport, or similar).

3. Payment Policy

3.1 Payment is required in full to complete your online booking.

3.2 Accepted payment methods: Visa, Mastercard.

4. Cancellation & No-Show Policy

4.1 Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled arrival to avoid a cancellation fee.

4.2 Cancellations made less than 48 hours before arrival may incur a charge equal to the first night’s accommodation.

4.3 In the case of a "no-show" (failure to arrive without notice), the full booking amount may be charged.

5. Guest Responsibilities

5.1 Guests must respect the quiet enjoyment of all other guests and neighbouring residents.

5.2 The Motel has a strict non-smoking policy inside rooms. Designated smoking areas are available outdoors.

5.3 Guests are responsible for any damage, breakages, or losses caused during their stay and will be charged accordingly.

5.4 All alcohol consumption must comply with Tiwi Islands liquor restrictions and relevant Northern Territory laws.

5.5 Guests must comply with all health, safety, and emergency instructions from Motel staff.

6. House Rules

6.1 Pets are not permitted unless approved by management in advance.

6.2 Visitors are allowed only with prior approval from management and must depart by 9:00 pm.

6.3 The Motel reserves the right to refuse service or evict any guest who breaches these Terms & Conditions or engages in unsafe, disruptive, or unlawful behaviour.

7. Liability

7.1 The Motel does not accept responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings during your stay.

7.2 Guests are encouraged to store valuables securely and ensure rooms are locked when unattended.

7.3 The Motel is not liable for injuries, accidents, or illness sustained during your stay unless caused by our proven negligence.

8. Force Majeure

8.1 The Motel is not responsible for failure to provide accommodation or services due to events beyond our reasonable control, including extreme weather, natural disasters, transport disruptions, public health emergencies, or government restrictions.

9. Governing Law

9.1 These Terms & Conditions are governed by and interpreted under the laws of the Northern Territory, Australia.

9.2 Any disputes shall be resolved in the relevant courts or tribunals of the Northern Territory.
